A Virtual Ghost is a living memory. Players watch themselves perform a series of gestures in their home environments and respond with personalized sounds that illuminate aspects of those actions.   

I began with audio audio scores, prompting the performers to imagine a scenario in which they are a ghost and video recording their responses. These videos became the foundation for a visual score of woven gestures, layered and transposed in real time by artist Stephanie Sherriff. I made an accompanying score for each gesture so that as the performers watch themselves, they develop unique sonic responses.
